DeVry University Information Technology Degree
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AS A CAREER CHOICE
DeVry’s Information Technology (IT) program is designed for the baccalaureate-level graduate seeking to pursue a career in IT. The program is structured around a core of technology-oriented specialty courses, with emphasis on applying computer technology to solve business problems. Students draw on their college and business backgrounds as they work in teams to develop solutions in case studies. Project management, communication skills and ongoing IT administration, all of which are critically important in today’s rapidly changing business environment, are integrated throughout the program.
The IT program provides students with a foundation in computer programming, database technology, networking, and systems analysis and design. The first two terms of the program consist of a common core of courses and are then followed by a campus- or student-selected concentration focusing on specific computing environments or specialties.
